We cleaned them out, on our kitchen counter. Julia had to take her shirt off so she could get into it all.
But I think she liked getting messy. See, she gets "into" her work.
And then we decided to head downstairs so we could visit with Maw Maw and carve the pumpkins. Here is Julia helping Mommy with her pumpkin.
Then Dave and I got to carve ours.
And the finished products are pretty decent. I do think I need to enlarge the openings a bit on mine, but I haven't fixed it yet.
And you can't tell I'm pregnant in any pictures yet. (Not that I care, but the very few pictures that actually get taken of me seem to have something or someone hiding my belly.) Funny, huh? Sonogram is schedule for a little over a week from now. Yes, we still want to be surprised at birth with what the baby's sex is.
In other news, Julia is growing just fine. She finally made it over 20 pounds, so this past week I did switch her car seat to front facing. Not sure what her true reaction is yet to that. Her spoken vocabulary is getting larger and she is getting better at pronunciation of quite a few words. About three weeks ago her "C" and "H" canine teeth started to come in, about two days apart. She loves baths, her books, cooking, her baking utensil toys, and eating. Since about a year old, she is ok with diaper changes in public restrooms (she got over whatever public changing table phobia she had).
She is no longer a baby, but a true toddler, her own "little person" and I don't like that. I want time to slow down. I haven't been able to take it all in fast enough. I am not one of those parents who wishes this phase would be over soon. But, that being said, I should be able to stay home (at least part time) with the coming new year. At least that is the plan for now.
