Random Good Stuff

Julia turned two (years old) last Saturday and Jared turned four months on Tuesday. Tuesday they both went to the doctors. Jared was 14 pounds 4 ounces and Julia was 24 pounds (again). Jared was 24-1/4 inches long and was 32 inches tall (she lost 1/2 an inch).

And pictures, to start I have a couple group shots from our trip to SC at the beginning of May.

Julia, Jared, and all of their (Reynolds) cousins with Grandmama.

Family shot of us at Alligator Adventure.

One day at home when Julia was rocking Jared in the little bear chair.

Grammy got to meet Jared finally, at Vicki's Housewarming Party over Memorial Day weekend.

Julia cooking dinner last night. She's wearing her Dora apron that Momo (notice the big, pink Texas buttons) made for her.

And last (for this post,) but not least, big sister loving on her little brother.

Beach Babies

Julia and Jared at the beach two weeks ago. Julia loving the sand and surf. Jared loving the baby dome.

On another note, Jared will be a talker just like his sister. He loves lights and windows. Eye contact gets amazing response (he is going to be a big flirt, I think). He is chewing on his hands like crazy (maybe teething soon??). He is now three months too. He hates tummy time, but he is trying to sleep through the night (9:30 pm to 5:30 am) again (half the time he wakes up at 1:30 am).

Julia is pretty good at potty training herself (when she's awake... and more so for number two... and maybe more when I am watchful and at home). She has transitioned to her new room and toddler bed (except for naps when Grandmama is watching). She still loves her little brother and is a big help. She says things like, "What's wrong baby Jared? Mommy will be right back." and "It's OK Buddy, it's OK. Don't cry, we're right here." Too cute, huh? She also says, "Diaper change, diaper change, I need to sit on the toilet." 'Ring around the Rosies' and 'Old MacDonald' are her favorite songs right now.

Family Pictures

And here are all of the nice family portraits. (I cropped most of these a little.)

Don't mind my hair here in the last one. It was windy the whole evening. Photos by Paul Scheuer.

Our Kids

So, this was the attempt to have Julia hold Jared. (I cropped the photo so you could see the close up of the kids.) Photo by Paul Scheuer.

Bloopers 2

And Julia still not cooperating. We were trying to get her to sit or stand in front of Dave's right arm. She never did make it there for a picture. Photo by Paul Scheuer.

Bloopers 1

And Julia was not too into cooperating during most of the photo shoot. This is quite a comical photo though. I love it! Photo by Paul Scheuer.

Mother's Day "Gift"

So, for Mother's Day, I wanted to have some family portraits done. Since we were going to be on vacation in Myrtle Beach for a week starting on Mother's Day, I had Vicki check out local photographers. She ran into an old college buddy (and photographer) who moved back to town. So, I got some sunset beach pics for my gift (on Thursday... we napped on Sunday from the drive the evening before).

This one I think may be my favorite of the whole night. I will share one a day for the next few days... so you actually feel like I am blogging. Hope you like. Photographs are taken by Paul Scheuer. (P.S. You can click on the picture to view it larger. That goes for any pictures on the blog.)

Easter 2010

Nana and Grandpa hid four dozen (yes, I mean 48) eggs for Little Girl to find in her first ever Easter Egg hunt. We had to empty that basket twice during the hunt so she could fit more in. She was delighted with all of the toys and candy hidden inside of the eggs. Daddy was also very delighted with all of her pennies (actually they were quarters, but all coins are pennies to her) and the money (paper bills) she gave him when she opened her eggs.

And here is our handsome little fella after church on Sunday. I love that Julia is running in the background.

And another one of the cute guy.

And then I tried to do some cute portraits of the baby girl before she grows up anymore (and before the flowers fell off of the trees). I think they turned out ok. I wish we would have had the time to do a longer photo shoot, but you live and learn.

I did get a couple cute shots though.

And we had to stop at the office so I took a couple shots outside while we waited for Daddy to finish up. The kids were getting anxious while we were inside. No windows and no toys are no fun for kids.

Not the best shot, but I really like it for some reason.

And here is one for Aunt Vicki. I promised her I would get these pictures to her since she did not get them on her camera, so here they are... a little late, but not forgotten.

Christmas and winter snow pictures are still to come. Maybe not so soon, but I promise. We will be on vacation for the next week. Yay!! Myrtle Beach here we come. Be back later.
