Julia Growth Update

Ok, so here's an update for the grandparents and great-grandparents (and anyone else interested in these facts).

Julia went to the doctor's office on August 29th (almost two weeks ago) for her two month check up. (And we had a short wait in the waiting room and left the office a little less than an hour after the actual appointment time. I consider this great progress from the last couple experiences.)

She got five vaccines. One was oral and four were shots (two in each upper thigh). That was the first real tear the poor little baby girl ever had. She screamed through the shots, but afterwards was ok (after eating a little bit). But I should have known better than to try my luck running errands after that. She was ok in the first store, but by the time we made it into the grocery store she was so upset and was not a happy camper. Luckily, we only had a few things to get and a prescription (for me) to drop off. Everyone (patrons and employees) in the store was sympathetic to her and wished her well.

She also weighed in at 10 pounds 5 ounces. She was 22 inches long. Today I tried to weigh her at home (meaning me on the scale with and without her). She came in at 10.6 pounds, which equates to roughly 10 pounds 10 ounces.

Her next doctor visit is at four months. I also need to make a follow up appointment at the orthopedic doctor. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
